Make the port your workplace

We love technical progress

HPA sets goods and people in motion in three main ways: on the water, on the roads and on the rails. With 280 berthing spots for oceangoing ships, 43 km of quay wall, 120 bridges, roughly 140 km of roads and over 200 freight trains on 300 km of tracks daily, the Port of Hamburg is one of Europe’s largest port infrastructure networks.

To ensure smooth operations, we need engineers (m/w/d) from the areas of mechanics, technology and structural calculations. You are responsible for technical project management and services, plan and construct land and waterside infrastructure facilities, secure transport routes or take care of public facilities and flood protection. As an engineer at HPA, you are not strictly confined to your area of speciality, you also work in an interdisciplinary manner. A colleague from our technical team: Larissa S. in engineering.
