Pedestrians and bicyclists can use the tunnel all day and all night free of charge. For motor vehicles, the St. Pauli Elbtunnel is closed until further notice. Defibrillators are now in the St. Pauli Elbtunnel

Since 30 October, users of the St. Pauli Elbtunnel have had defibrillators at their disposal. Within the scope of the east tunnel refurbishment, four orange-coloured emergency medical service stations were installed. They contain an emergency phone, a fire alarm button and two fire extinguishers each with six litres of a foam extinguishing agent. The two stations – in the St. Pauli portal and the Steinwerder portal – have now been equipped with defibrillators. Everyone can access the emergency equipment, which is monitored around the clock. This makes the St. Pauli Elbtunnel exemplary in first aid assistance.
